Ego death is one of the main benefits of psychedelics.
Your Ego is powerful, try taking time to separate "Ego" and "Confidence".
Confidence serves you.
You need confidence to fuel your activism and to build something new.
But ego, is the "fake it till you make it" mentality, of talking about it but not putting it into action.
Right now we need action which serves us all, ego doesn't serve us all because it is singular.
I have worked as a psychedelic integration coach for over 5 years now.
Using microdosed increments of psyllicibin helps some shine light on and confront things hiding in the corners of your mind that you have suppressed or ignored... like internalized racism & misogyny.
New moon in Cancer is a great time to confront these parts of you and work on letting them go.
As a woman of color I have had to unpack moments where I followed my ego and chose "me" over "we". There were times in my career that I thought there was only one seat at the table in the male dominated restaurant industry for a woman or person of color, so I should just be happy to be at the table.
But this mentality probably made me competitive with other women of color instead of advocate for them to have a seat too. I see now that that mindset didn't benefit me because it didn't benefit us all. It took years of therapy and a regimen of psychedelics to reprogram that thinking.
If you have heard me speak on panels or interviews over the last few years you have heard me say "In the CBD/Cannabis Industry the table is still being built so we need to hold that seat for our talented friends who happen to be Black womxn/Womxn of color. We have the ability and opportunity to build a more inclusive table, a bigger table and I encourage you all to take that opportunity."
We have an opportunity to change our minds and our society right now and I encourage you all to take it.
