New year new Cannabis regulations for 2022!

New year, new Cannabis regulations!
Cannabis is a growing industry, and as recreational and medical programs progress they get feedback from consumers and cultivators that impact regulation.

2022 should be great for Oregon consumers and here's why...

Now you will be able to purchase up to 2 oz of flower per dispensary per day compared to the 1 oz you have been limited to previously.

Edibles dosage limitations are jumping up from 50 mg per package to 100 mg per package.

Both of these changes will allow Oregon consumers to buy a bit more in bulk. This could mean less packaging which is better for the environment and would allow consumers to get discounts to encourage buying in bulk to help with the excess of cannabis that we have had since legalization.

At home cannabis delivery will now be able to travel over county lines. So more delivery services can expand their service area. This is a great addition with covid still being an issue.

The THC amount you are allowed to have in hemp will now be up to 20 mg per container.

And something I'm excited about, there is even more infrastructure in place to make it easy to export cannabis from Oregon once national legalization is in place.
I have said this before, once we have national legalization a lot of states will be getting their cannabis from Oregon the same way you get orange juice from Florida. We have produced an excess of cannabis every year of legalization because the terroir allows for incredible outdoor cannabis growth. This could be really beneficial to states like Arizona or Nevada that have extreme heat and have to spend so much money on indoor growing facilities. In Oregon we have all of the elements for cannabis to grow easily and to be lush, in Nevada you are probably going to spend a million dollars a month on water, air conditioning and lights to grow cannabis. So it just makes more sense for other states to buy our excess. It would cost less and be better for the environment. This would also create more jobs around state to state distribution.
Whenever we get national legalization make sure you're looking for that "Made in Oregon" sticker!
Which of these changes are you most excited about??

I care a lot.

I started Livvie Smalls Events because I wanted to provide safe and beautiful consumption spaces where my guests felt taken care of.

A safe space to ask questions and get informed answers with no judgment, because I believe that knowledge can help quell cannabis induced anxiety.

My intention is to give a more controlled and thoughtful edibles experience to replace those "bad brownie" stories that so many people have. Mindful consumption and safe spaces paired with experiential dining has been my goal from the start, and I have reached those goals with every event.

I have always kept my events under 25 guests so that I can easily look everyone in the eye and check in to see how they feel because I want my guests to know they have someone looking out for them.

As a guest at my events I want you to know that I have thought about you and the experience you would have for weeks, sometimes months before I met you, because I want you to have an amazing time.

This is what I would want from an event as a guest, and one of the reasons I started hosting events is because I felt like I didn't have safe and beautiful consumption spaces to enjoy myself.

Unfortunately this is not the standard with consumption events or events in general, but it is MY standard and that has not changed from day one.

With the world opening back up and seeing events put profit over safety I just wanted to say that my objective has not changed,

I will always put your safety first in my planning and during events.

All of my events might be individually different but that is one thing that remains the same.

That's my promise to you.πŸ’š
